Enabling ACH & Debit Card Payments

Make sure ACH or debit card payments are enabled in your resident portal to ensure a smooth rent split process with Livble.

To ensure Livble can pay your rent, it’s crucial that ACH and/or debit card payments are enabled in your Property Management Software (PMS) or resident portal. We know this can be a little tricky, as the process and requirements vary depending on the PMS you’re using. Here’s what you need to know:

Why This Matters

Livble relies on ACH or debit card payments to process your rent. Without these payment methods enabled in your resident portal, we won’t be able to split your rent.


Checking Payment Settings

If you’re using a portal like RentCafe, for example, you’ll need to make sure debit card payments are enabled. Here’s how you can check:

  1. Log in to RentCafe and go to the Payment Accounts menu.

  2. Click Add a New Account and select Debit Card (not credit card).

  3. If you see a message saying, “Your property management has disabled the use of debit card accounts for payment at this time,” you’ll need to contact your property manager to enable this payment method.


For Other Resident Portals

For most other resident portals, checking whether ACH payments are enabled is straightforward. You can typically follow similar steps to those in RentCafe to confirm ACH is active.

If you’re unsure, it’s always a good idea to reach out directly to your property manager or landlord to confirm that ACH or debit card payments are enabled.


Livble’s System Alerts

Most users won’t encounter issues with ACH or debit card payments. If there is a problem, Livble will notify you during the rent-splitting process. You’ll be prompted if a payment method is disabled, allowing you to address the issue before it impacts your rent split.
