How to Contact Location Providers on lo:live for Your Brand Activation

When planning a brand activation or experiential marketing campaign, finding the right environment is just the beginning. Whether your location scouting focuses on high-footfall pop-up retail or you are handling venue scouting for a large-scale event space, lo:live streamlines the process by connecting you directly with space owners.

Once you have identified the ideal space for campaigns, initiating clear communication is the next critical step. There are three primary ways to contact a location provider on the platform: directly via the search results, from a detailed space page, or from within a campaign once a venue has been shortlisted.

Option 1: Contacting a Provider Directly from Search Results

If you want to quickly message a provider without leaving your search flow or opening the full location profile, you can do so directly from the search results page:

Run a search: Enter your location hire criteria in the search interface to find the ideal environment for your activity.

  1. Click on the spaces link: On the location's search result card, look at the bottom right corner and click the link indicating the number of available spaces (e.g., "1 Space" or "5 Spaces").

  2. View the spaces modal: A side panel will slide out on the right, displaying a list of all individual spaces available at that specific location.

  3. Click the Message icon: Find the specific space you are interested in within the modal and click the small speech bubble icon next to it.

  4. Connect to a campaign: A pop-up window will ask you to connect the message to a campaign to give the provider context for your activation. Choose Select an existing campaign and pick your project from the dropdown, or choose Create a new campaign.

Send your message: Type your inquiry and start the conversation.

Note: Connecting to a campaign is required so the conversation is permanently linked to your project. This gives the provider immediate context about your venue hire needs.

Option 2: Contacting a Provider from a Location Page

If you are actively browsing the platform for retail space hire—such as a promotional site within a shopping centre—and want to read the full details before inquiring, follow these steps:

  1. Search for a location: Use the search interface to find the location you are interested in.

  2. Select the location: Click on the broader location's search card to view its full profile.

  3. Select the space: Within that location's profile, choose the specific pop-up space or promotional area you want to inquire about to view its full dimensions and rules.

  4. Click "Message": Near the top right of the space details page, click the Message button.

  5. Connect to a campaign: A pop-up window will prompt you to link the message. Choose Select an existing campaign or choose Create a new campaign.

Save and Continue: Once linked, click Save and Continue. The conversation will open in the Messages area, where you can write directly to the provider.

Option 3: Contacting a Provider from a Campaign

If you have already added a location hire to your shortlist, you can message the provider directly from your dashboard without returning to the main search page.

  1. Navigate to your Campaigns: Go to the Campaigns tab in the main navigation bar.

  2. Open your specific campaign: Click into the campaign you are currently managing.

  3. Locate the space: Find the relevant space in your list view.

  4. Click the Message Icon: Click the small speech bubble icon located next to the space's details.

Send your message: A messaging panel will slide out. Because the space is already linked to your campaign, the conversation is automatically tied to your project. Type your inquiry and click Send.


Why Campaign Details Are Required

lo:live requires messages to be connected to a campaign so that all communications stay organized. This gives the provider vital context before they even read your message, helping them understand your specific space hire requirements.

Whether you are proposing a standard sampling activity, a complex live media installation, or a longer-term meanwhile use project, providing this context upfront reduces back-and-forth messaging and speeds up the approval process.

Where to Track Your Conversations

All conversations can be tracked in the Messages section, accessible via the top navigation bar. This dedicated inbox provides one central hub to view and manage communication. From here, you can select a campaign, return to active conversations, and keep track of negotiations as your project moves from concept to reality.

Location Providers on lo:live usually respond to inquiries within 24 to 48 hours.
