How to Share Accounts & Records with Your Team

Share Accounts and Records with your team

Lockwell makes it easy to share your work accounts and other important records with your team! Here's how:

  1. Unlock the Password Vault

    1. Open the Lockwell desktop or mobile app.

    2. Unlock the password vault with your master password.

  2. Open the Record

    1. Find the record you want to share and open it.

  3. Click the Share Button

  4. Select a User to Share With

    1. Search for a team member in your organization to share with.

    2. Share with someone outside of your organization by typing in their email. Note, you can only share records with someone outside of your org if they have their own Lockwell account.

  5. Set Sharing Permissions & Save

    1. Click the team member or external email you want to share with.

      1. Edit: Shared user can view & edit the record.

      2. Share: Shared user can view & share the record.

      3. Edit & share: Shared user can view, edit, & share the record.

      4. View only: Shared user can only view the record's details.

    2. When done, click the Save button to share the record with the selected user with the level of permissions you set.

Note: After initially sharing a password vault record with a member of your team, you will have the option to transfer ownership of the record to that team member if you wish. Simply return to the record after sharing & update the user's permission to "Transfer Ownership"
