How to organize your services into Personal or Business records

The Lockwell Password Vault provides you with a way to organize both your business and personal records keeping all of your accounts secure while simultaneously allowing you to seamlessly adapt to your personal workflow.

Business records are meant to be specific to your company. Personal records are private and don't affect your team's overall cybersecurity.

If a vulnerability is detected for a personal record, Lockwell works directly with you to resolve it with a personal security issue.

If a vulnerability is detected for a business record, Lockwell works with you and your company admins to resolve it with a team security issue.

Why add personal records to my password vault?

  • Less dependency on having your own personal password manager

  • Less necessity to remember a different set of credentials to manage personal records

  • Able to safeguard your personal identifiable information from business contacts

When you click on a password within your vault you will see a Business or Personal type dropdown in the details.

You can then set the record to be "Business" or "Personal".

Note that passwords and secure notes can be set to either the Business or Personal type.

Personal Record Type using the browser extension

You can also edit the record type using the Lockwell browser extension when adding or editing a record.

When adding a record, you can select Business or Personal from the record type dropdown.

When editing an existing record, click Edit record.

Then select the record type from the dropdown and click save.

Personal Record Type for Mobile App

This feature is also available on the Lockwell Mobile App.

You can choose between Business record or Personal record when adding a service to your password vault.
