What is Google Authorization Error 400?

This error occurs during owner signup if your organization's Google Workspace Security Policy isn't configured to allow app access.

When you try to sign into your account you will receive Error 400: admin_policy_enforced

How to Manage Third-Party App Access using Google Admin console

When users sign in to third-party apps using the "Sign in with Google" option (single sign-on), you can control how those apps access your organization’s Google data. You use settings in the Google Admin console to govern access to Google Workspace services.

Enterprise Google Workspace

  1. Log in to the Google Admin console

  2. Expand Security in the sidebar

    1. You may have to click "Show more" first to see this option

  3. Expand Access and data control

  4. Click API controls

  5. Click Manage third-party access

  6. Click Add app

  7. Click OAuth app name or Client ID

    1. Search Lockwell by name or client ID & select the Lockwell app. If searching "Lockwell" by name doesn't work, use the client ID below:

      1. 945722889831-ushjr58gjk1itqgldbf8mimipiu3pimv.apps.googleusercontent.com

  8. Select the OAuth client ID checkbox for Lockwell

  9. Choose all users & continue

  10. Select Trusted app & continue

  11. Click Finish to complete adding Lockwell as a trusted app

  12. Sign your organization up for Lockwell here!
