If you can't access your Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 account and need to login to the Lockwell desktop app, don't worry! Lockwell offers a secure method to gain access through a magic one-time login link.
Step 1: Have Your Admin Request a Magic Link
Only administrators of your Lockwell organization can request a magic one-time login link. If you're not an admin, you'll need to contact your organization's admin and ask them to reach out to Lockwell support. Admins can easily do this through the Intercom chat feature available on the Lockwell website or directly within the app.
Admins: Please provide the following info when you request a one-time magic login link:
The Lockwell account email address of the user who needs the one-time login link.
This can be yourself, or one of the users in your Lockwell organization.
Why they need the one-time login link
I.E. the Google or Microsoft account they use to log into Lockwell is stored in Lockwell's password vault, and they are signed out of Lockwell on all devices.
Step 2: Admin Verification
To ensure the security of your account, after receiving your request, Lockwell support will verify the identity of the admin making the request.
This will involve the admin providing a picture of their Driver's License or another form of legal ID. Lockwell takes security seriously, and this step is crucial to prevent unauthorized access to your account.
Step 3: Receiving and Using the Magic Link
After verifying the admin's identity, Lockwell support will send a magic one-time login link to the user it was requested for. This link will be sent via email, so make sure to check your inbox (and the spam folder, just in case).
Simply click on the magic link, and you will be automatically logged into your Lockwell desktop app. Please ensure that the desktop app is already installed on your computer before clicking the link, as the link won't work otherwise.

Additional Notes
Single Use: The magic one-time login link can only be used once. If you need to access your account again in the future without your Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 account, you will need to request another link.
24 hr Expiration: Be mindful that the one-time sign-in link will expire after 24 hours if not used. If you miss the window, you'll need to go through the process again.
