Does Log Ninja track my movements?

Written by Kris

No. Log Ninja is specifically built without GPS tracking functionality. The app helps you track your work hours for NZTA compliance, but it does not track your physical location, routes, or movements.

Privacy and Control

Log Ninja was designed by drivers, for drivers. Our goal is to give you the convenience of a digital app while maintaining the exact same privacy you have with a standard paper logbook. There is no GPS tracking built into the software, you retain full control over your reporting data at all times.

How Location is Recorded (Manual Entry)

Because the app does not track where you are, it relies on you to tell it where an event happens, just like writing it down with a pen.

Whenever you need to record a location, you will enter it manually. You will be prompted to type in your current location when you:

  • Start a new log at the beginning of your day.

  • Log an event (such as changing your status from "Work time" to "Rest time").

  • Edit a past event to correct a mistake.

We believe that compliance shouldn't come at the cost of your privacy. Log Ninja mimics a paper logbook as closely as possible, ensuring that you maintain complete ownership of your records while the app handles the complex math and proactive break alerts in the background.
