You can save vehicle registrations and log types to your account so you don't have to enter them every time you start a new log. Saved vehicles appear in a dropdown on the log creation screen and on the change vehicle screen during an active log.
When a vehicle is selected:
The log type is detected automatically from the saved vehicle.
The break and work rules for that log type are applied to the log.
Add a vehicle to your account
Go to Account.
Select Vehicle details.
Tap Add vehicle.
Enter the vehicle registration.
Select the log type. Options are Small Passenger Service Drivers or Commercial Vehicle.
Save.
Saved vehicles appear as a list on the Vehicle details screen.
š” Note: Both vehicle registration and log type are required fields.
Edit or delete a saved vehicle
Go to Account > Vehicle details.
Select the vehicle from the list.
Edit the details, or delete the vehicle.
Select a saved vehicle when creating a log
On the Starting vehicle screen, the Select Vehicle field is a dropdown. If you have saved vehicles, the dropdown placeholder displays "Select Vehicle". The dropdown lists your saved vehicles in the format:
Vehicle registration (Log type)
For example:
ABC123 (Commercial Vehicle)
XYZ789 (Small Passenger Service Drivers)
Select the vehicle you're driving. The log type and associated break and work rules are applied automatically.
Add a vehicle while creating a log
If you have no saved vehicles, or you want to use a vehicle that isn't saved, you can add one from the log creation screen.
Open the vehicle dropdown on the Starting vehicle screen.
Select Add vehicle registration.
Enter the vehicle registration.
Select the log type.
Tick Remember this vehicle to save it to your account, or leave it unticked to use it for this log only.
Change vehicle during an active log
In your active log, go to the timeline screen.
Tap Add an event.
Select New vehicle.
Tap the Select Vehicle dropdown.
Select a vehicle from the dropdown.
Note: Log type determines which break and work rules apply to your log. If you save a vehicle with the wrong log type, the rules applied to your logs will be incorrect. Edit the vehicle in Account > Vehicle details to correct the log type.
