How are the leaderboards audited?

During a campaign (and always before any challenge results are announced) the leaderboards are audited to ensure that the results are accurate. First we conduct a pre-audit before the end of the challenge, looking for any workplace profiles that donโ€™t look quite right. For example:

These issues are resolved by contacting the workplace champion and confirming. Then when the challenge and 48-hour grace period has ended, our auditing system automatically identifies any user accounts that have suspicious activity.๐Ÿ‘€ For example:

  • Duplicate rides logged both manually and via Strava

  • Extra long rides

  • Duplicate user profiles both collecting points

After that, we make a final judgement as to whether this activity is suspicious and contact any users affected.

Please support us to run a fair and fun competition by logging your rides honestly and letting us know if you notice anything suspicious. Just email support@lovetoride.net with a link to the profile and weโ€™ll look into it.

What if there is a tie in the workplace leaderboard?

If two workplaces have the same number of points on the leaderboard then they will both come in the same place, e.g. if both workplaces scored 10,000 points, which was the highest for their size category, then they will both come in 1st place.๐Ÿฅ‡
