How does the points system work?

Workplace challenges

You can earn points during challenges by riding yourself and by encouraging others to take part.

Earning points increases your chances of winning prizes and, if you're part of a workplace, contributes to your workplace’s position on the leaderboard.

Earning points for riding

You’ll earn points for your own activity:

  • 1 mile / km ridden = 1 point

  • 1 day you ride = 10 points

This means you’re rewarded both for how far you ride and how often you ride.

Earning points for encouraging others

You can earn points by encouraging others to take part in a challenge.

How to encourage someone

There are two ways to be recorded as someone’s encourager:

1. Invite them using your unique link (recommended)

  • Go to the ‘Invite Friends’ section in your User Profile

  • Copy your unique invite link or send it directly

  • When someone signs up using your link and logs a ride during the challenge, you’ll automatically be linked as their encourager

2. Be added manually

The person you encouraged can add you as their encourager:

  • When they log their first ride, or

  • In their profile using the “Add encourager” option (see below)

Your points will show up on your profile when the the person has signed up (using your link or added you manually), and have logged at least one ride during the challenge.

Roll & Stroll Challenges

For Roll & Stroll, you earn points and prize entries in a slightly different way - with a focus on being active.

Points

In Roll & Stroll, you earn:

  • 10 points for each day you’re active (when you log an activity)*

  • 1 additional prize draw entry for every mile/km recorded during the challenge

This means you’re rewarded for being active, and the more distance you cover, the more chances you have to win prizes.

Workplace leaderboards are based on days active (from trips) and encouragements - distance doesn’t affect leaderboard standings.

*Trips must be at least 300 metres to count.

Encouraging others

Encourager points are awarded when someone you encourage logs their first activity - this could be:

  • Riding

  • Walking

  • Wheeling

You’ll earn higher points for encouraging people who are new to any of these activities. Find out how to encourage somebody here.
