Are your missing rides indoor/stationary bike rides?
At the moment indoor rides can’t be automatically synced via Strava.
However, we do sync rides from ebikes, handcycles, velomobile, gravel bikes, mountain bikes and electric mountain bikes. If your rides aren’t being picked up from these modes, keep reading below to troubleshoot your issue!
Did you log it less than 24 hours ago?
The connection with Strava doesn't always transfer rides instantly - when our site is experiencing high volumes of traffic there can be a delay.
⌛️ Please allow up to 24 hours for your ride to appear. If, after this time, your ride still hasn't synced across, try another solution below.
Just connected and looking for rides from more than 30 days ago?
When you connect your account with Strava, we only get access to the past 30 days of data. If you want to sync your rides from before this, you will need to log them manually on your user profile.
Are your rides private?
Since October 2025, Love to Ride is able to sync all of your Strava rides - including those set to Private or Only You. This gives you more accurate stats, badge progress, and ride history on Love to Ride.
To make sure your rides sync correctly, please check your Strava connection settings:
When connecting Strava for the first time
Make sure the permission “View data about your private activities” is ticked when you authorise Love to Ride (see screenshot below). Without this permission, private rides will not be imported.
If you connected Strava before October 2025
You’ll need to disconnect and reconnect Strava to enable private-ride syncing.
Privacy note
Even though we can now import all your Strava ride data, your privacy settings are always respected:
Rides marked “Only You” on Strava will not be shown in your Love to Ride Activities feed or on your profile calendar.
Your Rides list is never displayed publicly on the open web or to other riders.
We do not show detailed calendar information to other riders.
If your Strava rides are public, a link to your Strava profile may appear next to those rides on Love to Ride. Clicking this link takes people to your Strava profile—what they can see there depends entirely on your Strava privacy settings.
If you want to maintain higher privacy, we recommend reviewing your visibility settings directly on Strava - Strava's privacy settings.
Do you have multiple accounts?
If none of the above points fix the problem, another option is that you might have more than one Strava account.
Have a look and try to find out if you have multiple Strava profiles with different email addresses. If you do, follow the steps below. 👇
1. Visit your Profile settings on Love to Ride and disconnect from Strava
2. Go towww.strava.com and log out of your old account (the one you aren't using)
3. Go back to your Love to Ride Profile settings and reconnect with Strava using the correct Strava account
You should now be connected with the correct Strava account and your rides should come across in the next 24 hours. 🙌
