How do I log a ride?
Logging your rides on Love to Ride is easy. There are multiple ways you can log your rides, click below to find out how:
Automatically using the Love to Ride App
The Love to Ride app automatically logs all bike rides long and short and is free to download! That means you don’t have to do anything when you start or stop a ride, the app determines you're riding a bike and kicks in to record your route. How great is that?! Learn more about the app.
1. Download the Love to Ride app for free
2. Turn on automatic logging
Once the app is downloaded ensure that automatic logging is turned on. You can turn on automatic logging by clicking the + icon on the 'Me' screen or the 'Rides' screen. Go through the steps to give the app the right settings.
Note: you can also use our start/stop feature or manually log your ride via the Love to Ride App. Find out how.
Manually on the Love to Ride site
1. Click “LOG A RIDE" on the Love to Ride site
It can’t be missed!
2. Enter a distance or length of time, the date, and select what type of ride it was (for fun, commute to work, etc)
Simple as that! Head to your Profile Page to check out how your riding stats are racking up.
Note: you can also log your rides via your Profile Page under the “Add a ride” tab
Sync an app you already use
You can sync your Love to Ride profile with Strava or MapMyRide. Every time you record a ride on the app, your rides will automatically be logged on your Love to Ride profile.
To get started syncing your rides from Strava or MapMyRide, follow these simple steps 👇
Log onto Strava or MapMyRide on your device if you aren't already
Head to your Profile Page and the "ADD A RIDE" tab
If this is hidden you may need to click on "Click here to log rides automatically".
Click on the orange "Connect with Strava" button or the red “Connect with MapyMyRide” button:
Give Love to Ride permission to access your Strava or MapMyRide account. You will be taken to the Strava or MapMyRide sites where you'll need to give Love to Ride access to sync your rides. That’s it, you’re done!
