Introduction
The Geofencing feature allows you to send automatic notifications to your customers' phones when they are in close proximity (approximately 100 meters) to a point of sale. This guide details the priority and cohabitation rules to ensure a smooth customer experience without saturation.
Point of sale
This feature allows you to list your physical stores to use them as anchor points for your geolocated notification campaigns.
Configuring a point of sale
From Settings → Points of Sale, you can add and manage your addresses. For each point of sale, you must provide the following information:
Point of sale name
Give your store a clear name to find it easily in your interface.
Point of sale address
Enter the precise address. This position will serve as the center for the notification trigger radius (100 meters).
Tags
Add labels (e.g., Paris) to segment and filter your stores more quickly when creating your campaigns.
Notification creation
When creating a Geolocated notification campaign, several fields must be completed to clearly define its content and objective.
Campaign name
The campaign name is an internal name visible only to your team. It allows you to easily identify your campaigns within the Loyoly interface and locate them during your analysis and performance tracking.
Message (170 characters)
The message allows you to engage your customers at the best possible moment:
an invitation to redeem their rewards directly in-store
an invitation to a private sale or event taking place in-store
or the promotion of a limited edition product available nearby.
Location
You can add the names of the stores that you have previously configured in the Point of Sale tab.
💡 You can personalize the notification your customer receives by using the variables available to you.
Last name-> {{last_name}}
First name -> {{first_name}}
Points -> {{point_balance}}
VIP tier -> {{vip_tiers_name}}
Referral code -> {{referral_code}}
Preview
A preview is available on the left side of the screen. It allows you to visualize the final rendering of the notification as it will appear on iOS (Apple) and Android devices before it is sent.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can a 10-day sale campaign be hidden by an annual campaign?
No. Because the sale campaign started more recently, it will take priority over the annual campaign for its entire duration.
Does the customer receive a notification if they are 50 km away?
No. The 50 km radius is only used to "prepare" the phone. The notification only "pops" when they are within 100 meters.
How many points of sale can be added?
You can add as many outlets as you wish in Loyoly, but remember that the customer's phone can only handle a maximum of 10 outlets at the same time, in order of proximity.
Does the customer receive multiple notifications if they pass 3 adjacent restaurants?
No. If points of sale are located within 100 meters of each other, the phone will only display the notification for the store closest to the user's exact position. To avoid confusion, it is best to create a single encompassing zone for these points of sale.
Can I send notifications outside of France?
Yes, of course. Notifications can be sent worldwide 🚀
