This mission, linked to rewards, allows users to try out new items at no extra cost and enrich their shopping experience with you
Why activate this mission?
Buy X, get Y’ promotions are a commonly used method of attracting new customers to buy your products and rewarding loyal customers.
What are the benefits?
Increased sales: By encouraging customers to buy more to obtain a free or discounted product, you boost your sales in the short term.
Customer loyalty: This type of promotion rewards regular customers, encouraging them to return and make further purchases.
Increased AOV: By encouraging customers to buy a certain number of items to obtain the bonus, you increase the average basket.
Create the mission
Go to the Rewards area. Click on ‘Create a reward’ to access the library of all the rewards and the one for ‘Buy X and Get Y’.
Setting up the mission
After clicking on Create, you can set up the reward.
The customer buys a product from collection X
Search your collection
Create a personalised batch on Shopify with all your products that you will find in ‘your collection’.
Starting from
Minimum product quantity: indicate the minimum quantity your customer must purchase to benefit from the offer.
or
Minimum purchase amount: Thanks to this reward, the minimum basket amount can now be applied to the entire order, and not just to a single product as was previously the case.
🌟 Difference with the ‘offer a product’ reward:
Unlike the classic offer, where a free product is only offered if the minimum amount is reached for that specific product.
The ‘Buy X and Get Y’ reward offers the free product as soon as the order total reaches a certain amount. This makes the offer more attractive to customers, while encouraging the sale of several products.
The customer obtains product Y (1 unique product)
Search for your product
Select the product you want to offer as part of the ‘Buy X, get Y’ reward.
With a discount of
Determine the type of discount you want to offer your customers:
Percentage: The customer receives a percentage discount on product Y.
Fixed amount: A fixed amount discount is applied to product Y
Example: you offer a €5 discount on the price of the product.
Free: Product Y is offered free with the purchase of product X.
Points
The number of points your users need to redeem to benefit from this reward.
Description
You can specify how to use the product as well as product details.
Expiry date
Date after which the reward can no longer be used. This can be a rolling or fixed date.
Combination
Offer to combine rewards with a discount on the product, on the order or on delivery costs.
Apply to a list of users
You can link your mission to VIP lists or tiers.
Activate the reward
Finally, you can add the reward as ‘draft’ or ‘active’ and it will then be visible to users.
