Update the settings of created pages

If you need to make changes to the page settings after you created them, you can use the LPagery update feature to do so.

Adjusting the settings of your created pages ensures that your pages are up-to-date and tailored to your needs. LPagery allows you to modify various settings of the created pages, such as page titles, slugs, status, parent pages, categories, and tags.

What Does "Update Settings" Do?

The "Update Settings" option allows you to modify the following attributes of your created pages:

  • Purpose/Name: Change the name or purpose of the page.

  • URL Slug: Customize the page slug for better SEO.

  • Page Status: Adjust the publication status (e.g., Draft, Publish).

  • Parent Page: Set or modify the parent page to organize pages hierarchically.

  • Categories & Tags: Assign or change categories and tags for better classification.

These updates ensure that your created pages meet your current requirements without needing to delete and recreate them.


Starting the Update Process

There are two ways to begin updating your pages:

  1. From the Dashboard Menu:

    • Click on “Update Pages” in the top menu of the LPagery dashboard.

    • Choose the pages you want to update by selecting their template page and the specific Page Set you want to update.

  2. From the Manage Section:

    • Go to “Manage” in the LPagery dashboard.

    • Locate the page set you wish to update.

    • Click the menu icon (three dots) next to the page set.

    • Select “Update Pages” from the dropdown menu.

Once you’ve started the update process, you’ll be prompted to select the type of update you want to perform.


Updating Page Settings

  1. Select "Update Settings":

    • After starting the update process, choose the Update Settings option.

    • This allows you to adjust specific attributes of your pages.

  2. Modify Settings:

    • On the next screen, make your desired changes.
      For example:

      • Purpose/Name: Change to "New Name."

      • Slug: Set to {city}-new-slug.

      • Page Status: Change to "Publish."

      • Parent Page: Set to "Sample Page."


  3. Review Changes:

    • LPagery will display a summary of the changes that will be applied.

    • Carefully review the details, including modifications to parent pages, slugs, and status.


Finalizing the Update

  1. Confirm & Apply:

    • Once satisfied with the changes, click Review & Update Pages to apply them.

    • This will ensure all settings are updated as per your selections.
