We're excited to introduce support for VICS BOL, a new Bill of Lading type available for FedEx Freight shipments.
When to Use VICS BOL
Some large retailers, (like Walmart, Target, and others) require shipments to arrive with a VICS (Voluntary Interindustry Commerce Solutions Bill of Lading) BOL.
How to Use It
On the Finalize step (step 6) of Book Shipment, in the Shipment Identifiers section, you'll now see a BOL Type dropdown next to Bill of Lading ID, with two options:
Straight (Standard): the default BOL type used today.
VICS: select this if your consignee (e.g., Walmart, Target) requires a VICS compliant BOL.
Note: VICS BOL is exclusively available for FedEx Freight shipments.
