Does Lugg move refrigerators, washers & dryers, pianos, and other large items?

Yes — Lugg can move refrigerators, washers, dryers, pianos, safes, hot tubs, and other heavy items. There's a 200 lb weight limit per crew, so heavier items may need multiple Luggs scheduled for the same time.

Yes — Lugg can move refrigerators, washers, dryers, pianos, safes, hot tubs, and other heavy items as long as the correct number of Lugg's are booked. Lugg has a weight limit of 100 pounds per Lugger per item — that's 200 pounds per item for a two-person crew. This applies to each individual item, not the total weight of your move.

Moving items over 200 pounds

Lugg customers move heavy items all the time. If your item exceeds 200 pounds, you have two options:

  • Book additional Luggs for the same time — schedule multiple crews with the same pickup window and addresses so they arrive together. If you need one extra set of hands, book a Lugg Lite. If you need two, book a Lugg Pickup. As a rule of thumb, plan for one crew per 200 pounds — a 400 lb item needs two crews, a 600 lb item needs three.

  • Have extra hands on-site — if the item is only slightly over the limit, you or someone you know can be at the pickup and drop-off locations to pitch in with your crew.

Before your Luggers arrive

Your Luggers will always do their best to make it work, but a little prep goes a long way — especially with heavy items. For the safety of your items, your home, and your crew:

  • Measure doorways, hallways, and staircases to make sure your item will fit through

  • Clear pathways at both pickup and drop-off locations

  • If the item is going upstairs, confirm it can make the turns

  • Disconnect and drain appliances (plumbing, gas, electrical) before your Luggers arrive — Luggers can't handle hookups or disconnections
