You can reinstall your LumaDock VPS at any time using one of the ISO images available in your client area. The process lets you install a clean OS manually through the VNC console.

Before you begin

ISO-based installations do not auto-configure networking.
During the OS setup, you must enter these values manually:

  • IPv4 address: your VPS public IP

  • Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0

  • Gateway: your assigned gateway

  • DNS servers: 1.1.1.1 or 4.4.4.4

LumaDock provides a selection of ISO images. If you need something that is not listed, open a support ticket and we can add it for you.

Start the ISO installation

Open your client area and select the VPS you want to reinstall.

In the left menu, go to Reinstallation → ISO Images.
Choose the ISO you want and select the option on the right to continue.

A confirmation window appears.

Choose whether to format the disk

You can enable Format Master Disk to wipe the server before installation.
If you leave this disabled, you can manually partition the disk inside the OS installer.

Select Confirm to attach the ISO and reboot into the installer.

Complete the installation in VNC

Open the VNC console from your VPS panel.
Follow the on-screen instructions for the OS you selected.
Enter your networking details when prompted.

Once installation finishes, remove the ISO and reboot your VPS from the panel if the installer does not do it automatically.

Your server will then boot into the newly installed operating system.
