The Task History section shows a full timeline of actions performed on your VPS.

It helps you confirm what happened, when it happened and if the operation completed successfully.

This is especially useful when troubleshooting unexpected behavior or verifying recent changes.

Log in to your LumaDock client area and open My servers. Select the VPS you want to monitor and click Manage.

From the server management page, open the Task History section.

What task history shows

Each entry in Task History represents a single action triggered by you or by the system. This includes both manual actions and automated processes.

For every task, you will see:

  • Start time of the action

  • End time of the action

  • Description of the operation

  • Status of the task

The list is sorted by start time so the most recent actions appear first.

Common task types

Task History records many types of server actions. Some of the most common ones include:

  • Start and Stop when powering the VPS on or off

  • Shut Down VM for a graceful operating system shutdown

  • Resize when changing CPU, RAM or disk resources

  • Reinstallation when deploying a new operating system

  • VNC Proxy when opening a noVNC console session

  • Destroy when removing a server or resource

Seeing these entries confirms that the control panel successfully sent the request to the server layer.

Understanding task status

Each task has a status indicator on the right side:

OK

The task completed successfully and no further action is required.

If a task fails, it will appear with a different status. In that case, reviewing the timing and description helps support quickly identify what went wrong.

Using search and pagination

When your VPS has a long activity history, Task History provides tools to navigate it easily.

You can use the search bar to filter tasks by keyword such as resize or start (match keywords for the "Description" attribute).

Pagination controls at the bottom let you move between pages and adjust how many entries are shown at once.

When task history is useful

Task History is helpful in many everyday situations:

  • Checking if a reboot actually finished

  • Confirming that a resize completed before logging in

  • Verifying that no unexpected actions occurred

  • Providing timestamps when contacting support

If something feels off with your server, Task History is usually the first place to look.

Task History is read-only and cannot be edited or cleared. It exists to give you a transparent audit trail of what happens to your VPS.
