Move one or more upcoming payments to a new date yourself — no need to email support.

Who: School admins with Payments access · Where: Payments › Contracts · Time: ~1 minute

When to use this

A student asked to shift a due date, you need to align payments with their payday, or you want to skip a weekend or holiday. The Create Schedule Change tool lets you do it directly from the student's contract.

Before you start — which payments can move?

Only periods with no payment activity can be rescheduled. A period that is already Partially Paid or paid is locked (shown with a padlock). A Past Due period with no payment applied can still be moved.

Steps

1. Open the student's contract. In the left menu, go to Payments › Contracts, then click the student's row to open their contract.

2. Click "Create Schedule Change." On the contract page, find the Quick Actions card and click Create Schedule Change.

3. Choose "Date Change." In Step 01 · Choose change type, select Date Change.

4. Pick the period(s) and set the new date + reason. Tick the checkbox beside each payment you want to move. For each one, set the New Due Date, choose a Reason for Change (required), and optionally add Additional Notes for the audit trail. A live preview confirms the move.

Reason options: Align with borrower pay schedule · Avoid weekend or holiday · Borrower request · Administrative correction · Other.

5. Review & confirm, then submit. Click Next to reach Step 02 · Review & confirm. Check the change summary, tick the confirmation box, then click Submit request.

6. Done. The updated due date shows on the payment schedule, the student's autopay follows the new date, and the change is recorded in the contract's audit trail (also under Contracts › Update Requests).
