Set Up Lead Capture (Website Widget)

Create a Website Widget — an AI Chat Agent or a Lead Capture Form — to start collecting leads from your site.

The fastest way to start capturing leads is a Website Widget — an on-site form (or AI chat) that turns visitors into contacts with the Lead label and sends them straight to your CRM. This guide walks through creating one.

What a Website Widget does

A Website Widget loads on your website and collects visitor information. Every submission creates or updates a contact, tags it as a Lead, and shows up on your Lead Capture dashboard under the Website Widget source. You can run more than one widget (for different sites or pages).

Steps

1. Open the Website Widget builder. Go to Engagement › Lead Capture. On the Website Widget source card, click Manage widgets, then click Create Widget.

2. Choose a widget type. Pick AI Chat Agent (visitors chat with an AI assistant trained on your school's content after the form) or Lead Capture Form (a customizable form whose submissions go straight to your CRM).

3. Fill in the General settings. Give the widget a Widget Name (internal reference only — visitors don't see it). Under Enabled Domains, enter the domain(s) where the widget may load and press Enter (use *.example.com to match all subdomains); leaving it empty allows any site, which isn't recommended for production. Optionally set Default labels applied to every lead.

4. Set the Widget Appearance. Choose a display style — Corner Pop-up (slides up from the bottom corner) or Full Screen Modal (centered overlay). Set Timing for when it appears, customize the Start Chat Button and widget colors, and optionally tie the widget to a Customer Journey stage.

5. Configure the Form Fields. The form starts with First name, Last name, Email address, and Phone number. Reorder with the handles, remove any you don't need, and click Add element to collect more. Expand CRM Mappings to map fields to Contact properties.

6. Create the widget. Click Create. The widget appears under Widgets on the Website Widget page and begins capturing leads on your enabled domains. You can edit or add more widgets any time.

Tips

Always set Enabled Domains before going live so the widget only loads on your own site. Keep the form short — First name, Email, and one qualifying field convert best. Use CRM Mappings so lead data lands on the right Contact fields, and check the Lead Capture dashboard's Website Widget tab to see submissions roll in.
