If the application hasn't been fully signed yet, you can cancel it yourself. As long as a signature is still outstanding — the student's, your school's, or both Cancel Application is available to you without needing to contact support.

This is the part that trips people up. Cancel Application lives on the application, not on the contract. If you've clicked through to the contract record, you won't find it there — go back to the application itself.

The quickest way to be sure you're in the right place: the breadcrumb at the top should read Payment Applications › [student name] › Application #…, and the page shows the application ID under the student's name. From there, Cancel Application is the red button in the top-right corner.

Look at the status tag directly under the application ID. If it says either of these, a signature is still outstanding and the application can be cancelled:

• School Signature Required — your school hasn't signed yet
• Applicant Signature Required — the student hasn't signed yet

It doesn't matter which party is holding things up, and it doesn't matter how far along the rest of the application is. An application can be submitted, have its documents reviewed, and even be approved by your school — but as long as a signature is missing, you can still cancel it.

Above, the school is the one who hasn't signed. Below, it's the student. In both cases Cancel Application is available in the same place.

The Application Lifecycle panel on the right-hand side is the fastest way to see where things stand. Contract Signed showing as In progress or Pending means signatures are still outstanding and you can cancel. If it's already complete, the application is fully executed and cancelling is no longer the right path — reach out to support instead.

Open the application, confirm the status tag shows a signature is still required, then click Cancel Application in the top-right corner and confirm.

If a student changes their mind, or the wrong plan or program was sent, cancelling while the signature is still outstanding is much cleaner than letting the application sit unsigned. And if you can't find the button, you're almost certainly on the contract rather than the application — use the breadcrumb at the top of the page to navigate back.
