Using the Score Tab for District Assignments

Understand overall performance trends on district-wide assignments at a glance.

Written by Stephanie

Why It Matters

The Score tab provides a high-level snapshot of performance on a district-wide assignment, making it easy to see how classes or schools performed overall — without digging into individual student data.

  • Identify patterns across classrooms or schools quickly

  • Compare performance to surface strengths and areas needing follow-up

  • Serve as an accessible entry point for data conversations with principals, coaches, or teacher teams

Tip: Start with the Score tab to spot patterns, then move into Problem Analysis to understand why students performed the way they did.

How to Use It

  1. Navigate to the District Dashboard and open a district-wide assignment

  2. Select the Score tab

  3. Toggle between:

    • View: Classes or Schools

    • Metric: Average or Median

  4. Review the list to see:

    • Overall score for each class or school

    • Number of students included in the data

  5. Click Add + to view side-by-side comparisons across multiple district-wide assignments

  6. Sort results to quickly spot higher- and lower-performing groups

Instructional Impact

The Score tab helps leaders zoom out first, then decide where to zoom in.

  • Supports data-informed conversations at the class, school, or district level

  • Reveals trends across assignments, not just single moments in time

  • Informs next steps for coaching, PLC focus, or deeper analysis with Problem Analysis
