Teachers can now shuffle problems in assignments and quizzes, helping to reduce the likelihood of cheating. When shuffle is enabled, each student sees the same set of problems, but the order is randomized individually for each student.
Teachers can turn on shuffle from the Reorder Problems feature in New Assignment. The heatmap continues to reflect the original problem order set by the teacher, and the shuffle affects only the student view. This setting can also be enabled or disabled while editing an assignment. When a quiz is stopped and answers are revealed, all student problem orders reset to the original teacher-defined order.
To use the feature, click on New Assignment, select the problems they want to include, click the pencil icon, toggle the personalized shuffle setting on, and save the assignment. The shuffled assignment can then be assigned to students as usual.
