Create Teacher Account
Click “Create New Account”
3. Choose “Teacher”
4. Choose one between signing up with:
Google or Microsoft (SSO) → recommended for most NY schools
Email + Password → best option if SSO doesn’t work
5. Fill in your details and create your account
Tip: Use your school email address
Create Class
1. Go to the Students tab
2. Your class will automatically generate a 6-digit class code
Create Student Account
Click on “Student”:
3. Choose one between signing up with:
Google or Microsoft (SSO)
Email + Password
4. Type in the 6-digit class code.
Once code is entered, it will automatically join the user to the class
Optional: Faster Student Login with QR Codes
Want an even easier way for students to log in, especially for younger grades or shared devices?
You can enable QR code login:
Go to your Students tab
Click Settings
Toggle Sign in with QR Code ON
4. Click Print to download student QR codes
Students can then:
Go to the login page
Click QR Code
Scan their code → instantly logged in

Prep Student Devices
For iPads: Ensure the Magma Math iPad App is downloaded on all student devices before first use.
For laptops: Students should use Google Chrome for the best experience. Other browsers, like Safari or Firefox, may not fully support all features.
