Share Data Through ClassLink
To share roster data with Magma Math through ClassLink:
Log in to the ClassLink Management Console.
Open the Applications section.
Add or open the Magma Math application.
Configure sharing and access settings for the app.
Ensure sharing includes:
math classes only
associated students
associated teachers
Save your changes.
Verify that the Magma Math app is enabled in ClassLink LaunchPad for users.
We recommend limiting sharing to math classes unless additional subjects are specifically needed. Once sharing is enabled, ClassLink roster syncs will automatically update Magma Math with roster changes from your SIS.
Configure the ClassLink Integration
Log in to the ClassLink Management Console.
Go to Applications → Add & Assign Apps.
Click the green Add button.
Complete the application form.
Set Single Sign-On to Yes.
Under Type, select OAuth2.
Under Web Address, enter the following URL:
https://launchpad.classlink.com/oauth2/v2/auth?scope=full&redirect_uri=https%3A%2F%2Fed.link%2Fapi%2Fauthentication%2Fclasslink%2F531cae99-8f54-4708-9114-58f799b67d3b&client_id=c168554049978299b29c7ccca590d7f789f895e3e90e&response_type=code
Click Save.
Assign the SSO application to users.
Add the Magma Math app from the ClassLink App Library.
Toggle the application to Enabled.
Allowlist Magma Math Domains
To avoid connectivity or firewall issues, ensure the following domains are allowlisted on your network and content filters:
USA Domains | Canada Domains |
If your district uses filtering systems such as:
GoGuardian
Lightspeed
other web filtering tools
please ensure these domains are allowlisted there as well.
Prepare Student Devices
iPads
If your district uses an MDM solution such as:
Jamf
Mosyle
another device management platform
deploy the Magma Math app to student devices before launch.
If no MDM is used, students can download the app directly from the App Store.
Laptops and Chromebooks
For the best experience, students should access Magma Math using Google Chrome.
Other browsers may not fully support all platform features.
Important Notes
Ensure Magma Math is available in the ClassLink LaunchPad for teachers and students.
ClassLink roster syncs run nightly.
SIS updates such as enrollments and class changes will automatically sync once shared through ClassLink.
