How DNS records work for your Maildoso domains

Why Maildoso manages your domain's DNS records and how the nameserver setup works.

Maildoso manages your DNS for you

When you connect a domain to Maildoso, we host and manage its email DNS records (MX, SPF, DKIM, DMARC) for you. These records are kept on our side so your mailboxes stay correctly configured for deliverability, which is why we don't hand out an individual set of records for you to paste into your own DNS.

How to connect a domain

  • Add the domain in your dashboard (Domains → connect an existing domain).

  • We then give you 2 nameservers for that domain.

  • Add those 2 nameservers at your domain registrar — and only those 2, nothing else. This step is required for the domain to be fully configured.

Checking your records

Because our DKIM and DMARC keys are custom, some third-party checking tools may not display them as expected even when everything is set up correctly. You can confirm your records using a standard DNS/DMARC lookup tool. If anything looks off, reach out and we'll verify the setup for you.
