🔍 What Are Courses?
Courses let your staff assign each product to a meal stage (Course 1, 2, 3, etc.) to control service timing.
They’re useful for:
Fine dining or multi-course experiences
Coordinating appetizer/main/dessert pacing
Managing large group orders
🧠 Example:
Course 1 → Starters
Course 2 → Mains
Course 3 → Desserts
⚙️ How to Create a Course
Go to the Courses section from the left-hand menu.
Click the orange New Course button.
Enter a Course Name (e.g., Course 1, Main, Dessert).
Add translations if applicable.
Click Save.
🎯 Courses are universal and can be reused across products and orders.
⚙️ Manage Course Display in Revenue Centers
To make Courses usable in the POS, you first need to activate them in the appropriate Revenue Center.
✅ How to Activate Courses:
Go to Menu > Revenue Centers
Click ••• to edit the correct Revenue Center
Scroll to the Courses section
Use the toggle on the right to activate or deactivate each course
Drag and drop to reorder the course display
Click Save
🔁 Courses will only be visible in the POS if they are activated here. You can enable only the ones needed for that location or shift.
🖥️ How It Works in the POS
Once Courses are enabled in the layout settings of a Revenue Center, your staff will see a Course Selection option during ordering.
They can:
Tap a product in the cart
Assign it to a Course (Course 1, 2, 3, etc.)
✅ Best Practices
✅ Create clear, numbered Course names like “Course 1 – Starters”
✅ Keep it consistent across all revenue centers
✅ Test Course behavior in the POS to ensure items fire at the right time
✅ Use Courses to simplify pacing during high-volume service
