📊 What This Report Shows
The Global Reading report provides a complete sales summary at a specific moment, consolidated across all workstations. Generated in the POS (usually by a manager), it includes:
Sales per employee role (e.g., Owner, Server)
Sales by category (Appetizers, Drinks, etc.)
Sales by category group (Food, Liquor, etc.)
Sales by revenue center
Tips collected
Discounts applied
Taxes (including breakdowns by tax type)
Voided items and lost sales
Payment types (Cash, Visa, rounding, etc.)
Customer stats (number of checks, customers, tables)
Unlike End of Shift reports (which summarize one employee’s shift), this report combines all active employee and workstation data at the time it’s generated.
📌 Note: While reports are generated and printed directly from the POS, this section in the Back Office allows managers and owners to search, review, and reprint past Global Reading reports by date, location, and restaurant.

A: Yes. A manager can generate and print one at any time. Each report reflects the data at the moment it was created.
Q: Are reports separated by workstation?
A: No. Even if multiple workstations are used during the day, all data is combined into a single Global Reading report for the business day.
Q: What’s the difference between the Global Reading and the End of Shift reports?
A: The Global Reading provides a complete summary for the entire day and all employees. End of Shift reports are generated per employee when they close their shift.
