Overview
Ordering Methods determine how an order begins at the workstation: Table, Dine In, or Take Out.
Each method can be configured with:
A Revenue Center that controls where sales are recorded
A Prompt Information toggle that asks staff to enter customer details at the start of the order
The Ordering Method also determines which Revenue Center configuration the workstation uses â including available items, pricing, and item restrictions.
Accessing Ordering Methods
Configuring an Ordering Method
Each method is configured individually.
1. Select a Method
Click Table, Dine In, or Take Out from the left-side list.
2. Choose a Revenue Center
Use the Revenue Center dropdown to select which revenue center the method should use.
Important:
Each ordering method links to one revenue center.
This affects what items, prices, and categories appear at the workstation.
Example: Alcohol may be available for Table but not Take Out.
Example: Take Out may use different item pricing.
3. Enable or Disable Customer Information Prompt
Toggle Prompt Information ON if you want the workstation to prompt staff for customer details at the start of the ordering flow.
This is especially useful for:
Take Out orders where staff match a customer by name rather than by order number
Pickup-style workflows (counters, cafés, QSR)
Toggle OFF to skip the prompt.
â
4. Save
Click Save to apply your settings.
Limitations
Each ordering method can link to only one revenue center.
Because there are only three methods (Table, Dine In, Take Out), the workstation can use a maximum of three revenue centers at the same time.
If the restaurant does not require separate reporting or menu variations, all ordering methods can be linked to the same revenue center.
Best Practices
Use separate revenue centers only when you intentionally need different menus, pricing, or reporting.
Enable Prompt Information for workflows where identifying the customer is important â particularly Take Out and Pickup.
Keep all ordering methods linked to a single revenue center if that simplifies operations.
