🎯 What is a Revenue Center?
A Revenue Center lets you set different prices for the same product depending on how it's ordered — for example, Table service vs. Takeout vs. Delivery. You can also control which products and courses are available and how the POS layout is organized, per channel.
Beyond pricing and menu, you can control which workstations may use each revenue center and, where enabled, how each revenue center prints. Both are covered below.
📋 Finding Revenue Centers
In the left sidebar, open Configuration and select Revenue Centers.
✅ Creating a Revenue Center
1️⃣ Click the orange New Revenue Center button at the top right of the list.
2️⃣ A Price Copy dialog appears. Use the dropdown to copy prices from an existing revenue center — or close the dialog to start fresh.
3️⃣ Fill in the Name field under General Information. Click Manage translations to add a French version.
4️⃣ In Categories and Products, use the toggles to enable or disable product categories for this channel. Drag rows to reorder. Repeat for Courses.
5️⃣ Click Save.
✏️ Editing a Revenue Center
1️⃣ Hover over a revenue center row. Click the orange Edit button that appears on the right.
2️⃣ Update any fields across the four sections, then click Save.
🗑️ Removing a Revenue Center
1️⃣ Hover over the row and click Remove.
2️⃣ Confirm the deletion when prompted.
⚠️ Removing a revenue center permanently deletes all its price configurations. This cannot be undone.
🔐 Controlling who can use a Revenue Center
Access is decided by two settings that work together, because every revenue center is tied to an ordering method:
An employee's accessible ordering methods determine which ordering methods they may use — and therefore which revenue centers they can reach.
A workstation's allowed revenue centers restrict the device itself, whichever employee is signed in.
Setting employee access — go to POS Employees, open the employee, and use Accessible ordering methods. Choose from Takeout, Eat-In and Table service. Leave empty to allow all ordering methods.
Setting workstation access — go to Settings → Workstations, open the workstation, and use the Revenue Centers section: choose the revenue centers this workstation may use and its default. Leave empty to inherit the company setting.
Default Revenue Center — the revenue center applied automatically, per ordering method. Choose Use global default to fall back to the company default.
Revenue Center Override — pick one or more Allowed Revenue Centers, or All revenue centers. Leave it empty and the workstation inherits the company setting — the screen shows you which one under Inherits company setting:. Click Reset to default to clear an override.
Copy configuration from — copy another workstation's revenue center setup, then review and save to apply it.
⚠️ Important: if a workstation override is set, that workstation can only process orders on those revenue centers, regardless of employee or ordering method access. The workstation restriction takes precedence.
🖨️ Printing per Revenue Center
Availability: this requires Allow revenue center printing overrides to be enabled on your account. If the Configuration for selector described below does not appear in your sidebar, the option is not enabled — contact support.
By default, one printing configuration applies to every revenue center. When revenue center printing is enabled, a Configuration for dropdown appears in the left sidebar under Settings → Printing, offering Global (all revenue centers) or a specific revenue center. Your selection there determines which configuration the printing pages below it show.
Two pages support per-revenue-center configuration: Receipt Design and Kitchen Printing. With a revenue center selected, the page title shows that revenue center's name, and you can:
Turn on Override for [revenue center] to use a configuration specific to that revenue center instead of the global one.
Under Configuration, either leave New configuration to build one from scratch, or pick a configuration already used by another revenue center to share it.
Turn the override off at any time to return that revenue center to the global configuration.
⚠️ Shared configurations: if you select a configuration that another revenue center already uses, the page names those revenue centers. Editing a shared configuration changes printing for all of them, not only the one you are editing.
ℹ️ Note: POS Reports Printing does not support per-revenue-center configuration. That page is hidden while a specific revenue center is selected — switch back to Global (all revenue centers) to reach it.
