🔗 What the OpenTable integration does
The OpenTable integration connects your Maitre'D Virtuo system to OpenTable so information flows between the two systems: reservations come into Virtuo so your floor staff can see them, and your sales are reported out to OpenTable so the diner's visit is tracked. It became available in the June 17, 2026 release.
The two directions work independently — you can receive reservations in the POS while your sales are, separately, being reported to OpenTable.
⚙️ Connecting OpenTable in the Back Office
OpenTable is set up in the Back Office under Global Settings → Reservations. On that page, under “Connect to a Reservations Provider,” you will see an OpenTable tile.
Select “Connect to OpenTable.” Because OpenTable uses a secure account link, this opens a short set of instructions for linking your OpenTable account. The link is completed on OpenTable's side, which then activates the connection automatically.
Once connected, turn the feature on with “Enable the reservations component.”
Choose OpenTable under “Active Reservations Provider.”
You do not enter a restaurant ID manually — it is established automatically when your OpenTable account is linked. (A super-admin can manage the underlying connection credentials under Back Office → Integrations, but merchants normally only need the Reservations page above.)
📅 Viewing OpenTable reservations in the POS
Reservations synced from OpenTable appear in the Workstation under Reservations. From there you can:
Filter the list by Upcoming, Today, or Tomorrow, or search by a guest's phone number.
Open a reservation card to see the guest's details (name, phone number, email, language, notes) along with the table, arrival and departure time, party size, status, and booking tags.
⚠️ Please note: in the current version the reservations view is view-only. You can see reservation details, but modifying, cancelling, or printing a reservation directly from the Workstation is not available yet.
💡 Good to know
If a reservation isn't appearing in the POS, it may still be syncing — reservations flow from OpenTable through Virtuo before they reach the Workstation.
A reservation's status may occasionally appear as a raw, untranslated value. The surrounding details (table, guests, times) still display normally.
