How to Add/Create an Asset
Go to the My Assets module under Asset Hub and click on "Add Asset" button on the top right corner of the page.
Be default “New Asset” is selected. If not please select “New Asset”
Fill in the required information,
Asset Name (required): A name for the asset.
Serial Number (required): Add a unique serial number for the asset. Please note that no two assets can have the same serial number.
Connection (optional): Choose a connection to whom the asset is to be assigned. The asset can only be assigned to one connection and you can change the connection at any time.
Asset Type (optional): Assign Asset Type from the dropdown. Configure asset types from the settings.
Asset Description (optional): Add additional information about the asset. This description will be visible to the connection when the asset is assigned to it.
Upload an image for the asset. If no image is uploaded, we will show the asset placeholder image as the asset image.
Click "Create Asset" to create the Asset.
A new asset will be added to the MY Assets list page.
Adding an Asset using Asset Template
Adding a new Asset using Asset Template will also add the documents, parts, description and the image uploaded for the template to the new asset.
How to Add/Create an Asset Using Asset Template
Go to the My Assets module and click on "Add Asset" button on the top right corner of the page.
Select “New Asset From Template”
Fill in the required information,
Template: Choose a template from which you want to create an Asset.
Name (required): A name for the asset. If left empty, the template name will be used as the asset name.
Serial Number (required): Add a unique serial number for the asset. No two assets can have the same serial number.
Asset Type (optional): Assign Asset Type from the dropdown. Configure asset types from the settings.
Connection (optional): Choose a connection to whom the asset is to be assigned.
Click "Create Asset" to create the asset from asset template.
A new asset will be added to the My Assets list page. A asset created from the asset template will have the asset template name tag to indicate that it was created from the asset template.
