Asset Template
To add a new Asset Template, navigate to “Asset Templates” in My Assets and click on the “Add Template” button in the top right corner. A right drawer will appear—fill in the following information:
Template Title: Enter a name for your template.
Template Description: Provide a description. This will be shown on all assets created from this template.
Template ID : This is a unique identifier for the template and is also used to bulk create asset with Template.
Upload Image: Add an image for the template. This image will be used as the default image for any asset created from this template.
Once done, click on “Submit Asset Template” to create the new template.
Uploading Documents and Parts in the Template
You can upload documents and assign parts to a template. Both will automatically be included in any new assets created using that template.
Navigation:
Go to Asset Hub > Asset Templates to view and manage your templates.
Steps:
Open the template you want to edit.
In the template detail view, you’ll see two tabs:
Documents:
External Documents are visible to your clients in the asset’s documentation.
Internal Documents are only visible to your team (e.g., service engineers).
To upload documents:
Click the “+” icon in the relevant section and select “Upload.”
You can browse and upload files or select entire folders.
Click Upload and close the screen to view uploaded content.
Parts:
Go to the Parts tab in the asset template detail view.
Click on the “+ Assign Parts” button.
In the pop-up, select the parts you want to assign.
Click “Add Parts” to confirm.
