On your Asset page, you can view details of the Asset. This article is going to walk you through what the asset looks like and information about each tab on the Asset detail view.

Asset “General Information”

On this tab, you will see all of the following:

  1. A “Details” section that includes

    • Asset Image

    • Serial Number

    • Connection

    • QR code icon (if QR code access is enabled. To learn more about how to enable the QR code for the machine: please see the ARTICLE LINK HERE)

  2. Internal / Custom Fields

    • Show all the custom fields added for the asset in the Main Settings. To learn more about how to create and use custom fields: Please see the ARTICLE LINK HERE

  3. Description

    • Show the description of the asset. You can edit the description of the asset here and this will also be shown to your contacts in the customer portal on the assigned connection if the connection is established with the connection.

Asset “History”

On this tab, you will see the following:

  • All Work Orders that were created for the assets by either you or your connections.

    • The work orders are shown chronologically from the latest to the oldest date.

    • All the asset work orders irrespective of if they were created for the different connections will be shown here.

    • You can also see the Asset Creation Date when it was added to your platform.

Asset “Documentation”

On this tab, you will see the following:

  • External Documents: Documents uploaded in the “External Documents” will also be visible to your connections in the machine documentation if you have established a connection through customer portal tab in connection.

  • Internal Documents: Documents uploaded in the “Internal Documents” will not be visible to your connections. These documents can be used by your team members for internal purposes.

Uploading Documents for the Asset

You can upload documents for the asset in the “Documentation” section. For assets created from the template, adding new documents will disconnect the documents from the asset template and any changes made on documents in the template will not be reflected on the asset unless you reconnect the asset to the template.

  1. To Upload documents to either External Documents or Internal Documents, click on the “+” icon. From the dropdown option select “Upload”.

  2. in the upload screen, choose either to upload a file by “Browse your device” or an entire folder by choosing “Select Folders”.

  3. After selecting click on the “Upload” button to upload the files or folders to the asset template.

  4. Close the upload screen to see the uploaded documents.

Asset “Sub Assets”

This tab will only be visible if you have bought the hierarchy Add on. On this tab, you will see the following:

  • Shows a list of all the sub assets that belong to the asset. It shows the list view of the sub assets image, name, number of sub assets(if it has any) and sub asset Serial Number.

  • You can assign new sub assets to the asset by clicking the “+ Assign Sub Asset”.

  • Select the sub asset that you want to assign to the asset from the pop-up window. You can assign multiple components at the same time. The pop-up window will only show the assets that are not assigned to other asset or connections.

  • You can un assign the components from the machine by clicking the “Unassign” icon with the sub asset ID.

You can click on the asset to see the details. You can also click the arrow next to an sub asset to view its sub-assets if it has any.

Asset “Parts”

On this tab, you will see the following:

  • Shows a list of all the parts that are assigned to the asset. It shows the part image, name Description, and Article number.

  • You can assign new parts to the machine by clicking the “+ Add New Part”.

  • Select the parts that you want to add to the machine from the pop-up window. You can add multiple parts at the same time. The pop-up window will show all the parts that are available in the Inventory. The same part can be added to multiple machines.

  • You can unassign the part from the machine by clicking the “Unassign” icon with the Article Number.

Asset “Preventive Maintenance”

This tab will show all the preventive maintenance events scheduled for the asset.
