Create or Assign a Work Order to an Email

Learn how to create or assign work orders directly from incoming emails and manage related communication within the work order page.

Steps to Create or Assign a Work Order from an Email

  1. Open the Email
    Go to the Email module and open the email for which you want to create or assign a work order.

  2. Link to Work Order
    At the top of the email, click Link to Work Order. A dropdown will appear with two options:

    • Create Work Order

      • The work order creation form will open.

      • Fill out the required details and submit the form.

      • A new work order will be created in the Work Orders module.

    • Assign to a Work Order

      • A modal will appear displaying existing work orders.

      • Select the appropriate work order and click Assign Work Order.

      • The email will be linked to the selected work order.

  3. Accessing the Linked Work Order
    Once the email is linked, a Work Order ID will appear at the top of the email.
    Click on it to navigate directly to the work order page.

  4. View Attached Emails in the Work Order
    Go to the Email tab in the Chat section of the work order.
    All attached emails and future correspondence will appear here automatically.


Note:
Any ongoing communication within the attached email thread will continue to sync and display in the work order’s Email tab for easy tracking and reference.
