Structured Address Fields & Additional Information Support
We’ve made important improvements to how addresses are handled in the platform introducing more flexibility, structure, and clarity across forms and detail views.
Structured Address Input
The address dropdown has been moved out of the map area for better usability.
When you select an address from the dropdown, it will automatically populate the structured fields, including:
Street
City
State
Postal Code
Country
Users can now manually edit any of these fields without affecting the map pin location. This allows you to specify a more precise or customised address while maintaining the correct geographic point on the map.
Map vs. Displayed Address Behaviour
If the address is later manually updated from the individual fields, that address is:
Displayed in text form everywhere across the platform (e.g., in detail views or exports)
The original address selected from the dropdown (used to place the map pin) continues to determine the map location
Users can now drag the pin on the map to update the location directly. This provides full control over both address display and geolocation, independently.
This gives users full control over how the address appears without losing accurate geolocation data.
Additional Information Field
A new “Additional Information” field has been added under the address block.
Useful for storing extra context like building numbers, access instructions, or delivery notes.
This field is also visible in the Connection detail view.
Click-to-Copy Address
The address shown in the detail view is now clickable. clicking it will copy the full address to your clipboard for easy use.
These updates make it easier to input, control, and use address data while keeping your map locations accurate.
