Custom Work Order Types & Portal Visibility Controls

We’re excited to introduce a powerful update that brings more flexibility to how you manage work orders—and how they're shared with your customers.

Create Custom Work Order Types

You can now create your own work order types and tailor them to specific workflows within your organisation. For each type, you can configure:

  • Associated parts

  • Custom fields relevant to that workflow

This allows you to build more dynamic and personalised processes.

Control Visibility on the Customer Portal

Each work order type can now be categorised as either:

External

  • Visible to OEM customers in the Customer Portal

  • Allows customers to create work orders using that type

  • Ideal for collaborative workflows with customers

Internal

  • Hidden from the Customer Portal

  • Used for OEM-only workflows and internal operations

Why It Matters

  • More tailored workflows for different use cases

  • Improved customer collaboration through controlled visibility

  • Privacy for internal processes that don’t require external input

This update puts you in full control of how work orders are configured, managed, and shared internally and externally.
