How do I add a new company?

Navigation: Open your Field Service workspace, then select Companies from the sidebar.

  1. Click the + Add Company button in the top right corner.

  2. Complete the required fields.

  3. Click Create Company.

The new company will appear in your Companies list.


What fields are required when creating a company?

  • Company Name (Required): Enter the name of the organisation

  • Company Type (Optional): Select Customer, Supplier, or Distributor

  • Address (Optional): Enter the physical location

  • Custom Fields (Optional): Complete any additional fields configured in Settings


How do I add contacts to a company?

  1. Open the company you want to add contacts to.

  2. Go to the Contacts tab.

  3. Click + Add Contact.

  4. Enter the contact's name, email, phone number, and role.

  5. Click Save.

Contacts can be selected when creating work orders and can be given portal access to view assets and work orders.


How do I configure company types?

By default, Makula includes Customer, Supplier, and Distributor as company types. To add custom company types:

  1. Go to Settings in the sidebar.

  2. Under General Settings, click Company Types.

  3. Click Add Company Type.

  4. Enter the company type name.

  5. Click Save.
