How do I add a new asset?
Navigation: Open your Field Service workspace, then select Assets from the sidebar.
Click the + Add Asset button in the top right corner.
Choose to create a new asset from scratch or from a product.
Complete the required fields.
Click Create Asset.
The new asset will appear in your Assets list.
What fields are required when creating an asset?
Asset Name (Required): Enter a name for the asset
Serial Number (Required): Enter a unique identifier. No two assets can have the same serial number
Asset Type (Optional): Select an asset type from the dropdown. Configure asset types in Settings
Company (Optional): Choose a company to assign the asset to
How do I create an asset from a product?
Products let you predefine fields to create assets quickly and consistently.
Click + Add Asset.
Select Create from Product.
Choose the product from the dropdown.
Complete the required fields (Asset Name, Serial Number, and optionally Asset Type and Company).
Click Create Asset.
Assets created from a product display the product model as a tag to indicate their origin.
How do I configure asset types?
Go to Settings in the sidebar.
Under General Settings, click Asset Types.
Click Add Asset Type.
Enter the asset type name.
Click Save.
Asset types help you categorise and filter assets. Each asset type name must be unique.
