What is a Work Order?

A work order is a document used to request and manage maintenance, repairs, request parts or services. It includes details such as the nature of the work, requester, machines, and for which customer the work has to be done.

Why Use Work Orders?

  • Organization: Work orders help streamline and organize service requests.

  • Prioritization: They allow you to prioritize tasks based on importance.

  • Accountability: Work orders assign responsibility for completing tasks.

  • Tracking: You can track the progress of tasks from request to completion.

Key Benefits of the Work Order Creation Feature

  • Efficiency: Streamline the work request process.

  • Visibility: Easily track the status of work orders.

  • Accountability: Assign tasks to specific service engineers.

  • Data Analysis: Gather data for performance analysis.

Work Order Overview

On the Work Order page, the Overview tab provides a comprehensive overview of the work order and includes

  • Work Order ID: A unique identifier for the work order.

  • Created: The date when the work order was created.

  • Reporter: The user who initiated the work order. The dropdown will show all the users of the facility that initiated the work order.

  • Assignee: The team member responsible for carrying out the work. The dropdown will show all the OEM team members.

  • Schedule Date and Time: This allows you to schedule the work order to be completed within a certain time frame. The scheduled work orders will appear on the calendar.
