Any time when you see an expand button on the top right of the panel, you can open the panel into a larger table view, where you can customize table columns and perform batch operations.

Customizing table columns

You can manage the columns of the table by clicking the gear icon on the right. The Manage Columns panel will open up:

You can re-arrange, freeze or remove a column from the table.

To add more columns to the table, click on the "Add columns..." link to open the following screen:

There are 3 types of columns:

  1. System columns: These represent the standard fields by Matidor (e.g. Name, Key, ID, etc.)

  2. Custom columns: These represent the custom fields added by the workspace manager.

  3. Parent columns: These represent the fields from a parent object, if any. (e.g. Project is a parent of Work, and Budget is a parent of Cost, etc.)

Table column behaviors

It is worth noting that the default table columns behave differently depending if a template filter is applied to the table.

When no template filter applied, the table would display a basic set of system columns only, unless you change the column setting manually.

When a template filter is applied, the table would display a basic set of system columns, and ALL custom columns relevant to that template, unless you change the column settings manually.

Saving Table Views

You will notice there is a "Default view" button left to the Template filter:

Clicking it will show you a list of saved views, or allow you to save a new view. This is also where you can change the visibility or delete previously created views if you are the creator of the view, or a workspace manager.

Saving a new view

You can save one more more views for Projects, Work, Budgets, Costs and Files. When you save a view, it will preserve the following queries that used to populate the table:

  • any search keywords used

  • any filters applied

  • any columns and frozen columns selected

When saving a view, you can make the view accessible to other users by toggling the visibility option.

Updating values in data table

You can make changes directly in the data table by changing the editable cells, or perform a batch operation.

Editing a cell

Whenever you see a pencil button after hovering over a cell, that means it is editable. Some fields are not editable because they are read-only.

Batch operations

When you select one or more items from the list, options for various batch operations will show up:
