Matidor Qi launch: A comparison with Noa

A quick guide for users who just migrated from Matidor Noa.

There are many improvements, large and small, throughout Matidor Qi. In summary, here are the major ones to keep in mind:

What’s new in Qi

Compared to Noa

Templates

Multiple templates are allowed for project and work.

A single template is allowed for budgets, costs and users.

Multiple templates allowed for project, task, form and budget.

Custom field library

Fields can now be saved into Custom Field Library for reusing between templates.

Custom fields can only be added into a template.

New field types

New field types: Multi-select choice and date range.

Important fields

Important fields can now be placed near the top (and not inside a group) where they are always displayed.

Custom fields must be added into a field group, requiring users to click into the group to see.

Obsolete fields

Fields can be hidden when not in use.

Custom fields can only be deleted when they become obsolete, causing any value stored being erased as well.

Cost codes and Vendors

You can now setup a master list of cost codes and vendors for budgets and costs.

Cost codes must be setup for each budget template. Vendors are often set up as custom fields.

User template

You can now use user template to add custom fields like Device ID, Certification date, etc.

User profile

You can now see a quick summary and statistics of the users by clicking on their avatars.

Home

You can now see personalized to-dos, approvals, and @mentions on the home panel.

A company dashboard showing mostly irrelevant info to users.

Search

You can now also search files.

Filter

You can now apply filters on any fields.

Only choice fields marked with “Used in filter” can be used in filters.

Map search

You can now jump between map locations using the “Location search” button, without disrupting the main panel.

Location search is part of the main search which resets the data panels.

“Auto” portfolios

You can now save a project search into auto-portfolios.

You have to first save a view in Data and Table, and then create a auto-portfolio linking to the view.

Portfolios

You can now see the latest updates from the portfolio, along with its progress and projects.

No latest updates by portfolio.

Data Table

Any list panels can be expanded into a data table view, without losing context.

Formerly Data and Reports.

Work

Tasks and forms are merged, called Work.

Work approvals

Project managers can now approve Work.

Work subtasks

You can now add subtasks to Work. You can set up default subtasks in the template.

Budgets

You can now see the spending within a date range.

Comments

You can now reply to a message, which will auto-mention the previous sender.

Reports

Existing project and work reports are improved, with photo cut-off issue fixed.

Added 2 new reports: budget and cost summary.

Real-time alert emails (WIP)

Real-time emails are sent based on user relevancy.

Real-time emails are sent regardless of relevancy.

Summary emails (WIP)

You can now subscribe to portfolios and projects to receive daily/weekly summaries.

You would receive company-wide summary, and only project group summary. No project summary.

Workspace

You can now join multiple workspaces and switch between them.
