Smart Comments let you communicate with your team directly inside a project, so every conversation stays attached to the right project, map item or file instead of getting lost in email.
Adding a comment
Open a project.
Go to the project's comment panel.
Type your message and post it.
Comments are also available inside work items, so you can discuss a specific task in context.
Mentioning teammates with @
Type @ followed by a name to mention a teammate. The mentioned person receives an email notification and sees the comment in their Home panel.
Tagging items with #
Type # to tag a project item, such as a map drawing, file or cost, in your comment. The tag becomes a clickable link to that item, so readers can jump straight to what you are talking about.
Replying to a comment
Click reply on an existing comment to respond. Replying automatically mentions the person who wrote the previous message, so they are notified of your response.
Notifications
Email: You receive an email when someone mentions you or replies to you. Comments on work items include the project name so you know where the conversation is happening.
Mobile: Matidor Go sends an in-app notification in real time when you are tagged in a comment.
See Notifications for the full list of email notifications.
Comments and guest users
Guest Viewers can only see comments in which they are mentioned. To bring a Guest Viewer into a conversation, mention them with @.
Comments in exports
Project Excel exports include project comments.
Project and work PDF exports can include comments.
