Overview
Maxanet lets you customize the layout of bidder invoices — logo, header colors, font family, font size, content toggles (show/hide descriptions, fees, locations), and footer — from a single page under Configurations. Changes apply to every invoice across every auction unless a specific auction overrides the Invoice Content on its own. Important: any change on this page must be saved with the green Save button in the upper right or the change will not stick.
How to open Invoice Configuration and save changes
From your Maxanet Admin panel, click Admin → Configurations → Invoice Configuration. After making any adjustments on this page, you must click the green Save button located in the upper-right corner of the screen — leaving the page without saving discards your changes. The invoice layout updates apply to every auction unless overridden at the auction level.
Invoice content toggle switches and what each one does
Maxanet Invoice Configuration includes several per-account toggle switches:
Remove Description HTML Formatting — strips HTML formatting from item descriptions on the printed invoice so invoices are shorter and more printer-friendly. Also useful as a workaround when HTML in item descriptions has broken the invoice layout.
Show Item Description (Summary invoices only) — when turned OFF, summary-style invoices hide item descriptions, shortening the printout. Useful for clients who rely on the optional Item Name field for each inventory item rather than the full description.
Show fee amount (Detail invoices only) — detail-style bidder invoices show a per-item breakdown; this toggle controls whether fee amounts appear inside the per-item breakdown.
Display Location — when ON, bidder invoices display the optional Location field from the Pull Report next to each item, useful for pickup scheduling and routing.
How to customize the Invoice Header (logo, colors, fonts)
The Invoice Header section lets you change the logo displayed at the top of invoices, the header background color, and the font family, font color, and font size used in the header area. Changes apply to every invoice.
How Invoice Content overrides work at the auction level
The Invoice Content section has an input box for custom content that will appear on all invoices. Content entered here is the site-wide default. However, individual auctions can override the Invoice Content with their own text — if a specific auction has its own Invoice Content filled out, that auction-specific content is used instead of the site-wide default. To edit a specific auction's Invoice Content, go to Admin → Auctions → Auctions, find the auction, click the Actions menu, and select Invoice Content.
How to customize invoice footers (color, font, content)
The Invoice Footer section lets you change the footer background color, font color, and the content text that appears at the bottom of every invoice. Use this for privacy policy links, payment instructions, pickup reminders, or any other fixed legal/operational text you want on every bidder invoice.

Common questions
Why did my invoice changes not save?
You must click the green Save button in the upper-right of the Invoice Configuration page before leaving. Any changes not saved are discarded.
My invoices look broken because of HTML in item descriptions — what do I do?
Turn ON the 'Remove Description HTML Formatting' toggle in Invoice Configuration. Maxanet will strip HTML from descriptions on the printed invoice so the layout stays intact.
Can a single auction have its own invoice content that's different from my default?
Yes. Go to Admin → Auctions → Auctions, click the Actions menu for the specific auction, and select Invoice Content. Text entered there overrides the site-wide Invoice Content default for that auction only.
What's the difference between Summary and Detail invoices?
Summary invoices show a condensed one-line-per-item format; Detail invoices include a full per-item breakdown with fees. Some toggles (Show Item Description, Show fee amount) apply to only one invoice style — the toggle label tells you which.
