How it works
You can import calendar data in two ways:
Set up recurring uploads to our SFTP server
Use the Import Calendar button on Mbrella Web
💡 Tip: While we also offer a Public API for user synchronization, this file import method provides a convenient alternative.
File structure and requirements
Basic specifications
Format: Monthly .xlsx file
Content: Three main columns

Supported event types (in priority order) ❗
IN_OFFICE (calendar open)
HOMEWORKING (accepts home working allowance)
WEEKEND (calendar closed)
PUBLIC_HOLIDAY (calendar closed)
DAY_OFF (calendar closed)
NOT_IN_OFFICE (calendar closed)
Important things to know
Full-day events only
You control which days to import (both in-office and not-in-office)
No period limitations - import any timeframe
Only dates included in your file will be processed
Multiple events on the same day? System follows the priority order above
Calendar events override existing registrations ❗
Example: A bike trip registered on a newly marked not-in-office day will be automatically deleted
