Automatically import lab results from Metrc

Lab results for Metrc packages such as THC or CBD content can be automatically imported and displayed on your menu and at POS.

Updated over a week ago

Meadow can import lab results from Metrc packages to products in your catalogue. Get started following the steps below.

  • When receiving a "ready" package, you will see any lab results for THC and CBD % or mg under "Package Details." These are imported from Metrc.

Auto import compounds is set at the product level

  • Make sure "Auto Import Compounds" is set to "yes" for any products you want to update automatically at point of sale and on your online menu.

  • If set to "Yes," any THC and CBD values will import automatically from the Metrc package and update the product details.

If a product has multiple packages with THC or CBD, the values from the oldest package (based on FIFO/reception date) will be used to update the product.

Display of Imported Lab Results

  • Imported THC + CBD values are displayed in Admin, at POS, and on your menu.

  • If a package has both % and mg values, the product type set at the category level will determine which is displayed by default: flower (non-concentrated) products will display % and manufactured (concentrated) products will display mg by default.

    • If you delete the default display value, the other value will show. For example, if you delete mg from concentrates, it will display % if any is available.

  • For products that are set to import compounds from Metrc lab results, the product details will be updated upon package reception.

  • If an older package already exists, the values will update to the new package lab results when the old package has 0 units.

Updating Lab Results

  • If a product is set to import compounds, it will update values when a package with THC or CBD becomes sellable. Any manually-entered values will be overridden when a new package becomes active.

  • If a product is set to import compounds and has multiple packages with THC or CBD values, the system will use the values from the oldest package until it is sold out or finished. Then the system will update to the values from the next package's values on a FIFO basis.

  • Lab results can be edited at the package level, but if you need to make a manual adjustment to a product that already imported compounds, editing product details will override any values from the package currently being sold/displayed.

  • If a package has no values, it will not overwrite or clear the existing THC or CBD values from a product even if import is enabled.

  • If a product is set to not import compounds, it will only show manually entered THC or CBD values.
