Set Up Your Dejavoo Terminal

Step 1: Contact 2Accept

Before setting up the integration, contact the 2Accept team at support@2accept.net to let them know you're ready. They'll schedule a time to configure the switch on their end. Once complete, follow the steps below.

Step 2: Create the Debit Payment Type in Meadow

  1. In Meadow Admin, go to Settings → Payment Types.

  2. If you don't have a "Debit" payment type, create one named exactly "Debit".

  3. Close and reopen the Meadow POS app to enable it.

🗒️ Note: If your debit terminal already adds a payment fee automatically, you do not need to add a payment type fee in Meadow's settings.

Step 3: Get Your Register ID and Auth Key from the Terminal

  1. Turn on the Dejavoo terminal. You should see "Listening for transaction..." at the bottom of the screen with a red gear icon in the bottom left.

  1. Tap the red gear icon. An "Enter Password" box will appear showing a TPN number. The default password is the last 4 digits of the displayed TPN.

  2. From the Settings list, tap "SPIN".

  3. Write down the Register ID and Auth Key.

Step 4: Enter Credentials in Meadow

  1. Auth Key: In Meadow Admin, go to Settings → Integrations → Payments and enter the Auth Key.

  1. Register ID: On the Meadow POS, go to the settings menu and select Dejavoo Terminals. Enter the Register ID.

Step 5: Start Processing Payments

  1. At POS, select "Debit" as the payment type.

  2. Tap "Activate Debit Terminal".

  3. The customer inserts or taps their card on the terminal.

  4. Once approved, finalize the payment in Meadow.

Troubleshooting

Terminal Doesn't Appear at POS

  • Confirm the Auth Key was entered correctly in Admin (Settings → Integrations → Payments).

  • Confirm the Register ID was entered correctly in POS (Dejavoo Terminals settings).

  • Check for any available iOS and Meadow app updates.

  • Close and reopen the Meadow app.

Terminal Not Showing "Listening for Transaction"

  • Restart the terminal by powering it off and back on.

  • Make sure the terminal is connected to Wi-Fi or Ethernet.

  • Contact 2Accept support at support@2accept.net if the issue persists.

Transaction Not Going Through

  • Verify the terminal has an active internet connection.

  • Make sure the payment type is named exactly "Debit" in your payment type settings.

  • Try restarting the terminal.

  • Contact 2Accept if errors continue.

Wrong Amount Charged

  • The integrated payment automatically sends the exact total — if the amount seems wrong, check your rounding settings in Meadow Admin (Settings → Orders).

  • You can set rounding to "None" to charge the exact penny amount.

Additional Notes

  • Tips: Customer tipping can be enabled through your 2Accept account. Customers can select a percentage or enter a custom amount.

  • Cash back: If enabled, you can select the cash back amount at POS and the customer will see it on the terminal before completing the transaction.

  • Receipts: Meadow prints receipts as usual. You can also enable terminal receipts (paper, email, or text) through your 2Accept settings.

  • Payment fees: If your terminal already adds a fee, don't add a duplicate fee in Meadow's payment type settings.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I find my Auth Key and Register ID?

On the Dejavoo terminal, tap the red gear icon in the bottom left corner of the screen. When prompted for a password, enter the last 4 digits of the TPN number shown on screen. Then tap "SPIN" from the settings list — you'll see the Register ID and Auth Key displayed there. The Auth Key goes into Meadow Admin → Settings → Integrations → Payments, and the Register ID goes into the Dejavoo Terminals settings on the POS app.

My Dejavoo terminal doesn't show up on Meadow POS after an iOS update. What should I do?

After an iOS update, close and reopen the Meadow POS app completely. Check that your Auth Key is still entered correctly in Meadow Admin (Settings → Integrations → Payments) and the Register ID is still in POS settings. If the terminal still doesn't appear, try removing and re-entering both credentials. Also make sure the Meadow app itself is updated to the latest version from the App Store.

I set up the Dejavoo integration but the debit option isn't displaying at checkout. What's wrong?

Make sure you've created a payment type in Meadow Admin named exactly "Debit" (go to Settings → Payment Types). After creating it, you must close and reopen the Meadow POS app for the new payment type to appear. Also verify that the Auth Key and Register ID credentials match exactly — even a small typo will prevent the debit option from activating.

Can I split a transaction between cash and debit?

Yes. At checkout in Meadow POS, you can apply a partial amount as cash first, then select "Debit" for the remaining balance. Meadow will send only the remaining amount to the Dejavoo terminal. The customer pays the debit portion on the terminal, and you finalize both payments in Meadow.

Does the debit card fee show up on the end-of-day report?

Debit fees added by the terminal (through 2Accept) are handled on the processor's side and may not appear as a separate line item in Meadow's end-of-day report. Check your 2Accept dashboard for detailed fee breakdowns and transaction-level reporting. If you added a fee in Meadow's payment type settings instead, that will show in Meadow's reports.

Can I add a debit card fee to the customer's receipt?

If the fee is applied by the terminal (through 2Accept), it will appear on the terminal receipt but not on Meadow's printed receipt. To show the fee on Meadow's receipt, you would need to add a payment type fee in Meadow Admin → Settings → Payment Types — but be careful not to double-charge if your terminal processor is already adding a fee.

A debit transaction failed but it looks like it added to my inventory or order total. What happened?

If a debit transaction fails on the terminal but the order was already finalized in Meadow, the POS may have recorded the order before the payment was confirmed. Check the order in Meadow Admin to verify the payment status. If the payment didn't go through, you may need to void the order and reprocess it. Contact Meadow support if you need help reconciling the discrepancy.
