Want your Meadow and Weedmaps menus organized differently? You can now map each Meadow product category to a specific Weedmaps category and subcategory.
By default, Meadow makes its best guess when syncing products to Weedmaps. But if you want more control — for example, using different category names between your menus, or ensuring products always land in a specific Weedmaps subcategory — you can set the mapping yourself.
How to map categories
Go to Settings → Product Categories in Meadow Admin
Select the product category you want to map
Choose the Weedmaps Category you want products in this category to sync to
Optionally, choose a Weedmaps Subcategory
Save
Products in that Meadow category will now sync to Weedmaps under the category you selected.
What you need to know
If you don't set a mapping, Meadow will make its best guess based on the category name
Mapping is set at the category level — all products in that Meadow category will sync to the same Weedmaps category
This is especially helpful if you organize your Meadow menu differently than your Weedmaps menu, or if you want consistent subcategories on Weedmaps
Changes apply to future syncs — existing products on Weedmaps will update on the next sync cycle
Common questions
Do I have to map every category?
No. Unmapped categories will continue to sync using Meadow's best guess. Only map the ones where you want specific control.
Can I map to a Weedmaps subcategory?
Yes. When selecting the Weedmaps category, you can optionally choose a subcategory as well.
Where do I find this setting?
Settings → Product Categories in Meadow Admin.
