Can I round my orders down or to the nearest dollar?

Tired of coins? You can select "always round down" or "round to the nearest dollar" to remove the need for change.

Want to get rid of all those pesky coins?

You can choose a rounding strategy in your Orders Settings.

Rounding offers three strategies:

  • Always round down (so $10.99 becomes $10)

  • Round to the nearest dollar (so $10.50+ becomes $11; $10.49 or less becomes $10)

  • Round to the nearest nickel (so $.03 or $0.4 will round up to $0.05; $0.01 or $0.02 will round down).

You'll see a line item on the receipt to account for the rounding. Changing the amount you charge a customer automatically adjusts the taxes up/down to reflect the difference of the adjustment.
